The “From the Desert Comes a Stranger" episode is yet another instance where Boba Fett was mostly absent from his own series. Reading out Hamilton's list of favorite moments is proof enough of the sheer fun the actors had on The Book of Boba Fett set, naming Rosario Dawson, Hamill, and the entire show’s crew as part of that, but without leaving out his pal Grogu. The moment made Hamilton reminisce his days as a 5-year-old kid watching Star Wars, and he also thanked episode director Dave Filoni and show creator Jon Favreau for the opportunity of a lifetime. "Co-creating #LukeSkywalker for with master was one of the most magical and fulfilling creative experiences of my life," he wrote.

Hamilton expressed his feelings in a long Instagram post from his personal account, where he described his experience co-creating this rejuvenated version of Hamill alongside the actor. That is because ever since Luke Skywalker came back for his special cameo in The Mandalorian season 2 finale, Hamill hasn’t been playing the Jedi legend, who was instead first portrayed by Max Lloyd-Jones in that instance and now by Graham Hamilton. The Book of Boba Fett may be struggling to honor its namesake character, but the show is still packing plenty of Star Warshype, including a very special appearance from one Luke Skywalker that has the actor playing him swooning over the opportunity to step into Mark Hamill's iconic role.
